Roger Keenan, Head of Infrastructure and Customer Service Finance, Telefónica, O2 UK

Roger has worked extensively in various aspects of the telecommunications industry for over 20 years including mobile operators, fixed line telephony and Internet Service Provider’s.

A finance professional, he held a number of senior positions within the BT Group, both in the UK and internationally, prior to joining O2. These included Finance Controller of BT Global Division, BT Europe’s Integrated Solutions business, Eastern European start ups and M&A opportunities and was a Director of BT’s joint venture in Gibraltar.

Within 5 years of de-merger from BT in 2001, O2 moved from 4th to take No1 position in the highly competitive UK mobile market and now has more than 20 million Customers. Roger is currently Head of Infrastructure & Customer Service Finance with responsibility for the overall financial control and commercial decision support for Networks, IT, Customer Service, Property and management of the O2 UK Capital Assets.

Roger is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a qualified Electrical engineer.
